vanity fair
vanity fair is the sort of magazine you would rarely pick up from the news stand. it looks like a girly fashion mag or even a high society monthly journal. but its really much more than that. the analysis the magazine offers of key issues is enviable and it is always a delight to read. there is a great piece of journalism this month in which the magazine tells an oral history of the bush presidency through time in quotes from people in and around the administration.
obviously the piece has a slant - graydon carter (editor) seems to devote several lines in every monthly forward to bashing bush. but the history does give an inside peak to the admistration that is eye opening. i recommend you purchase it.
