i am reading this book at the moment - fasicinating stuff. economic history is so insightful. you learn about politics, sociology, history, finance and economics all at once. Everyone is back on J K Galbraith’s tome about the 1929 crash as we weather this storm but I like to go a bit further back in history and if there are any constants they are these.
1. hardwork pays in the long run - just keep trying.
2. great wealth is amassed in times of crisis - makes me wonder who is raking it in now.
